Project Brief
Our team was presented with the challenge of creating a new and modern user experience for the Federal Student Aid’s Training Conference center to help transition users to accessing past, present, future virtual, hybrid, and in-person conferences.
Problem
FSA Administrators need a way to update and store new and historical conference information. Currently, the way this information is recorded is through the use Microsoft Word docx and PDF files. Having all of the FSA Training Conference information stored in large, lengthy documents can cause some friction/frustration because it can be time consuming when a user may only need to find one small piece of information.
Each year, many attendees have trouble figuring out how to register for the conference. This is making the user work too hard which can inhibit performance of FSA conversion assets.
FSA Administrators need a way to easily update and maintain their website while having a modern look and feel.
Research
We conducted interviews to gather qualitative data from FSA Administrators and training site users to gain a thorough understanding around the types of components and functionality that are needed to improve the existing website.

Customized Design
Implement CTA’s Appropriately: by strategically placing CTA’s we can increase conversions/user enrollment for conferences
Good UI/UX Design: good web design will imply trust and authority in visitor’s minds and motivate prospects to reach out or use the website for its intended purpose
Consolidate Past Conference Information: implement accordions
Provide a Search Functionality: users shall be able to search past, present, and current information as it pertains to FSA Training Conference.
